Master Sergeant (E-7), United States Air Force retired, Gil Harbach of Mitchell County High School’s (MCHS) award winning Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) program has received the Air Force Junior ROTC Advanced Instructor Certification from Headquarters, AFJROTC, Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, Alabama! In a letter to Ms. Ossie Canidate, Principal of MCHS, Mr. David L. Richardson, Chief of AFJROTC Instructor Management Division, commended Sergeant Harbach on attaining this unique certification, of which less than fourteen percent (14%) of all AFJROTC instructors achieve. Colonel Paul Lips, AFJROTC Director, also congratulated Sergeant Harbach on achieving this certification, recognizing Sergeant Harbach’s superior professionalism, instructor skills and adherence to standards. Sergeant Harbach began his AFJROTC teaching career in 2006 at MCHS and is in his thirty-fifth (35) year of service to his country wearing the Air Force blue uniform!
