Attention Parents:  Registration of New Students (Early Learning, Pre-K-7th grades) for the Mitchell County School System will be held at the Mitchell County Board of Education’s Central Office in the Registration Department at 108 South Harney Street, Camilla, GA.  The following documents are required to complete the application process:  a copy of your child's immunization record, social security card, Ear-Eye-and Dental Form and birth certificate to give to the registrar upon enrollment of your child. For more details, contact L. Sanders at 229-321-7031 extension 1011.
Registration for new students in grades 8th-12th will be held at Mitchell County High School at 1000 Newton Road, Camilla, GA.  For more details, contact A. Robinson at 229-321-7031 extension 2015. 
 
Student Withdrawal from School:

Attention Parents of students in Early Learning-7th grades:  Student Withdrawals from the Mitchell County School System will be processed at the Mitchell County Board of Education's Central Office in the Registration Department at 108 South Harney Street, Camilla, GA. Attention Parents of students in grades 8th-12th:  Student Withdrawals from Mitchell County High School will be processed at Mitchell County High School at 1000 Newton Road, Camilla, GA. For more details, contact A. Robinson at 229-321-7031 extension 2015.

 

 

School Based Health Clinic at Mitchell County High School:

Albany Area Primary Health Care and the Mitchell County School System have joined in partnership and developed a comprehensive health clinic that is located with the Career Academy at Mitchell County High School. This center is staffed with medical, dental, behavioral health, optometry, and/or other ancillary service providers.

 

Our services include diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and minor injuries, management of chronic illnesses, routine health physicals, immunizations, counseling, behavioral health, health education/promotion, hearing, vision and lab testing and referrals to medical subspecialists and community agencies, treatment of oral health issues with general dentistry services, and treatment of vision services with optometry services.

 

The primary focus of the clinic is to provide quality, accessible health care to the children of Mitchell County in order to positively impact children's health, school attendance, and academic performance.

Parents, please click on the link and sign the consent form for each of your children if you desire for your children to be seen. Signing the consent form does not change your child's personal doctor but it allows the child to be seen at our School Based Health Center.

ChildFind Project:  The Georgia Department of Education has a mission to locate, identify and evaluate each child, 0-21 years of age, with a suspected disability and to provide appropriate educational services to these children.
 
GA Milestones Assessment System is a comprehensive summative assessment program for grade 3 to High School.  Students in grades 3-8 take end-of-grade assessment in English Language Arts and Mathematics; students in grades 5 and 8 also are accessed in science and social studies.  High School students take an end-of-course assessment for each of the 10 courses designated by the State Board of Education including 9th Grade Literature, 11th Grade American Lit, Algebra I or Coordinate Algebra, Geometry or Analytic Geometry, Biology, Physical Science, United States History and Economics
