August 4: MCSS Open House from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
August 6 is the first day of school.
May 17: MCHS Class of 2019 Graduation at 8 p.m. in MCHS gym.
May 31, 2019 is the last day of school for students.
As a fundraiser and learning tool, the MCHS culinary arts students will be preparing casseroles each week for sale. The orders will need to be placed the Monday prior to pick-up on Wednesdays:

The Mitchell County School System will be closed (students only) on Friday, April 19th due to inclement weather. Faculty and Staff will report to work on April 19th (regular time if weather conditions permit). School will resume on Monday, April 22nd for students, faculty, and staff at the regular time.
Baconton Community Charter School will be closed on Friday, April 19th for students, faculty/staff.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on February 12 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Mitchell County High School seniors will participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) on February 8, 2019. The assessment is in mathematics, reading, or science. For more information, contact Ms. Lori Brinkley, Guidance Counselor or click on the title above.

On February 8, 2018, MCHS Telemedicine Coordinator Mrs. Luellen Tucker (shown in middle of picture) received the Telehealth Certificate of Excellence in school-based telehealth for the second time. Mrs. Tucker was chosen by the GA Portal for Telehealth for her creative ideas that can be use to help increase telehealth services and for the number of telehealth visits she had.........
