MCSS's Schools Closed for Students on January 3

The Mitchell County School System (MCSS)/Baconton Community Charter School (BCCS) will be closed on Wednesday, January 3rd due to inclement weather conditions. MCSS faculty and staff will report to school at 9:00 am; BCCS will be closed for everyone. School will resume on Thursday, January 4th at the regular time.

Attention Parents: Pre-K registration for the 2017-2018 school year is being held at Mitchell County High School from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The student must be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2017.

Schools Closed September 13

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: The Mitchell County School System will be closed (students only) on Wednesday, September 13th due to power outages (Hurricane Irma). Faculty and Staff will report to work on Wednesday, September 13th. School will resume on Thursday, September 14th for students, faculty and staff. Baconton Community Charter School will be closed on Wednesday, September 13th for students/employees.

Cadet Master Sergeant (C/MSgt) Jy’Kyrriaunna Clayton (Hotel Flight), Cadet Airman First Class (C/A1C) Yomeda Martinez (Delta Flight) and Cadet Airman (C/Amn) Armonyca Brown (Delta Flight) led members of the Mitchell County Board of Education and guests in the Pledge of Allegiance to start the 18 April board meeting.
