The GA Department of Public Health has prepared several handouts to help parents and students prepare to return to school amid COVID-19 Pandemic. The handouts include information about returning to school, Symptom screening checklist for elementary students, middle and high school students, persons entering the building, and parent/guardian attestation. Parents if your child does not attend school on Thursday or Friday of this week, report cards will be available to pick up by a parent only from the front office May 17-18, 2021.

The Mitchell County Board of Education has begun the search for a new superintendent. A survey has been developed by the Georgia School Boards Association to help the board better understand the wishes of the community as decisions are made during the superintendent search. The survey is very short and is being provided to the community to get your ideas regarding the qualities you feel are important for our next superintendent to possess. Homecoming 2020 is on the way! MCHS Students and Faculty have prepared to have a Great, "Home Sweet Homecoming"! Due to the COVID pandemic and the safety of our Eagles, there will not be a parade this year! We encourage each school to participate by purchasing ads in the 2020 Homecoming Booklet to represent your school and its organizations. Homecoming applications for high school student representatives are available for pick up in the front office.
